The Small and Medium Enterprises Loan Guarantee Program "Kafalah" has allocated 21.8 billion riyals to support the Makkah and Madinah regions, enhancing services for pilgrims and Umrah performers.
The “Kafalah" Guarantee Program revealed that over 4,700 entities in the Makkah region benefited from the program, receiving more than 12,200 financing guarantee loan. The financing value in the Makkah region exceeded 19.5 billion riyals, with a guarantee value of over 14.1 billion riyals from the program's inception in 2006 until the first quarter of 2024. In the Madinah region, 872 establishments benefited, receiving 1,933 guarantees, with a financing value exceeding 2.3 billion riyals and a guarantee value exceeding 1.7 billion riyals. Additionally, 106 guarantees were issued to establishments operating in the Hajj and Umrah sector, with a financing value exceeding 192 million riyals and guarantees valued at over 162 million riyals.
Government and private agencies, under the patronage of the wise leadership, have intensified efforts to care for pilgrims and Umrah performers. They work throughout the year to ensure pilgrims' comfort by utilizing all available resources. This allows pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and convenience from the time they enter the Kingdom until the end of their rituals, ensuring they enjoy all means of comfort, health, and security. These efforts are in line with the leadership's directives to serve Muslims in their religious and worldly affairs.
