SME Bank was established by Council of Ministers Decision No. 376 of 1442\07\04 AH corresponding to 16\02\2021 AD, and its regulation were promulgated by Royal Decree No. (M\46) of 1444\04\08 AH corresponding to 02\11\2022 AD, as one of the funds and development banks of the National Development Fund, Which aims to increase the total portfolio of loans for the financial sector and close the financing gap, and Enhancing financial institutions' contribution to providing innovative financing solutions and achieving financial stability for this critical sector as a key pilar of Saudi Arabia's economic development and as a means of achieving Vision 2030 .
